Contact Improvisation is a duet movement form in which two or more people move in physical contact, communicating via weight and impulse through a constantly shifting point of touch.

Guided by developmental movement principles, classes will focus on fine-tuning the sense perceptions while developing skills such as fluid falling and rolling, sharing weight, freeing the center and being upside-down.

As our bodies are reminded how to respond spontaneously and safely to the physical forces of gravity and momentum, we develop our innate capacity for physical risk, communication and play.

Classes will also include building ensemble work through use of improvisational scores, watching and feedback.
